An
initial consultation is always advised with no fee required. Most
clients undergoing any cosmetic procedure usually welcomes someone interested
to “look in” while they are having they’re ‘makeup
done’. They were once in
that questioning position and very understanding! So if you would like
to
schedule a consultation while one of these procedures are being done
please
ask.
Generally
I allow two hours per procedure. With the exception of lip liner
which does require more time .I try to allow ample time to first discuss,
photograph before the procedure and do corrections on my clients.
I ask them to come to the office wearing their makeup, eyebrow,
eyeliner or lip liner, they way they do everyday. I then suggest how
to
improve or balance what they are accustomed to wearing .I stress the
word
balance because you should keep in mind how what makeup you’re
not wearing
will effect what is applied permanently.
Before
we start I will mix pigments to a color which is comparable
to the color of cosmetic you normally wear .I request you to bring them
with
you. I advise you that because this pigment I have mixed is being applied
underneath you’re skin and is mixing with you’re natural
skin pigment a few
things will occur. First, you can expect the mixed color to appear lighter
under you’re skin .Second, once the healing process has taken place
it will
definitely appear lighter than first applied.
The
reason for this during the healing process you’re body absorbs
some of the pigment. It will continue to do so,because you’re skin
is like a
sponge, therefore the color will be absorbed and fade over time. Also
factor
in there is some swelling and irritation or redness which occurs during
the
procedure which will change the appearance of the color at first.
I apply a topical numbing cream before and during the procedure which
most certainly helps. Most women can sit comfortably for two to two and
a half
hours.See testimonials for personal experiences.
If
any additional work or touch ups as we refer to,is required. The
healing process must be complete. Anytime after a month is what I generally
suggest. Some procedures such as lip liner require two to three sittings
before the color is satisfactory. This is due to the area. The lips are
a high
contact area .Eating, drinking, smoking attribute to the color staying
well
during the healing stage.
